I was born in Tehran as a nothing. There are no homosexuals in Iran, so I didn't exist till I left. In Los Angeles, I materialized.
I've internalized the orientalist. Hence, my triptychs, a combination of performance piece, film, and photography. I act for myself (performance), I watch myself (film), and I commodify myself (photos of the film). Thus, I am a triptych of one.
At U.C. Berkeley, I double-majored in Art History and Film Studies. I completed my Masters in film and art at UCLA.
I currently live in New York. My apartment has no minarets or glass domes, though I still meet those who imagine them there.
